Well, it’s the Browns. You didn’t think they would ever end their losing streak, did you? Well, the losing streak is over. But, the Browns didn’t win to end that streak. No, they tied.  In what seems to be an ongoing saga of repaying the football gods for some unascertainable debt, the Browns did everything right in order to not lose again. However, they didn’t do enough to win either.

An impressive showing from the defense with six takeaways against one of the league’s premier offenses. An equally unimpressive and at times frustrating display from an offense that was supposed to be much improved. The good news is that the Browns did look to be an all-around improved team and despite penalties and other unfortunate circumstances, they never looked at each other and said: “Here we go again”.

This team is not the team that went 0-16. Even though many players remain on the roster and the coach is still the same, these Brownies are going to win games, it just wasn’t their day.

Let’s hope this is the final sacrifice required of the football gods, before the Browns can return to the glory they saw before being stolen from Cleveland. Oh yeah, and I bet the beer in those victory fridges is still gonna taste delicious a week from now.
